'Death in the Ice': Story of an ill-fated Arctic expedition
A new major London exhibition aims to solve the 170 year-old mystery surrounding the disappearance of British explorer John Franklin in the Arctic's icy waters. "Death in the Ice" retraces Franklin's final expedition to discover the Northwest Passage linking the Atlantic and Pacific oceans, since its departure from Britain on May 19, 1845. Franklin and his 128 crew members were last seen in July of that year.

By Diane Bartz WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Senator Amy Klobuchar, the top Democrat on the Senate antitrust panel, sent a letter to the U.S. Justice Department on Friday urging that it reject any effort by the White House to inject politics into merger investigations. The letter follows a New York Times report saying that White House advisors battling television news station CNN mulled using a government review of AT&T Inc's plans to merge with CNN parent Time Warner Inc as leverage. "Any political interference in antitrust enforcement is unacceptable.
